Big Dipper

It was a clear night on Monday, and we spent the midnight hour down at the dock watching the Perseid meteor shower. It was mesmerizing!! I loved seeing the kids get excited about every streak of light we saw. And being it was before moonrise, we were able to see so many!!

After nearly an hour and a half, we all started getting cold and so we headed back. When we were almost to the house, I turned around hoping to glance just one more meteor.....and instead I found the Big Dipper, perfectly framed by the trees.
