Thing of Beauty

Few things are as satisfying as a well-stocked (and well-stacked) wood shed. Full of birch and aspen, five rows deep. All of this will be perfect for the sauna and the wood-fired oven.

With this last wood-stacking project, our tree-focused Autumn of 2021 comes to a close. Six pines and one aspen have all been bucked, split and stacked. Yeah, yeah….I know it is just a whole bunch of firewood, but it feels like a huge accomplishment, too. Hard work for sure, and I loved every minute of it!
